A new concept in grassroots marketing and promotion, the Pure Hemp Propagation Project seeks to empower a community of hemp and music enthusiasts. The goal: to accelerate the introduction of hemp and other earth friendly products into regular, mass market retail locations.
Building on the street team model of decentralized promotion, the Pure Hemp Propagation Project will enable street team members (Pure Hempsters) to not only promote, but help build distribution for Pure Hemp papers and ultimately other independent and earth friendly products and companies.
Sowing the Seeds
The street team’s focus will be promoting and educating people about the products they love.
The street team’s focus will still be promoting and educating people about the products they love. Pure Hempsters will NOT be engaged in direct selling. Unlike other street teams which promote to the end consumer (concert goer, hemp enthusiast) Pure Hempsters will be introducing and promoting the papers to their local retailers. As conscious consumers (and as actual or potential customers of the stores they approach) rather than sales people, their principal role will be requesting the product. Pure Hempsters will be actively representing and demonstrating the REAL demand for Pure Hemp and other environmentally friendly alternatives to everyday products (or alternately for great independent music).
Cultivating Relationships
The retailer will be able to call or fax in the order or order online and will be provided with a discount code which automatically accrues the sale to the Pure Hempster’s account.
A subsequent visit to the retailer works to reinforce the original request as well as addressing the typical retailer response – “never heard of it / don’t know where to get it.” Pure Hempsters will be provided with (and can download from the website for convenience) a retailer price list / order form complete with introductory discount pricing (the retailers price, shipping included, will be less than the average wholesale price of competing brands). Providing the retailer with this info not only makes the point that they are a seriously motivated customer, but provides the retailer with all the information they need to place their first order. The retailer will be able to call or fax in the order or order online and will be provided with a discount code which automatically accrues the sale to the Pure Hempster’s account.
We will also provide new members of the team with three (3) FREE TRIAL certificates which enable a retailer to get a free (!) box of Pure Hemp 1 1/4 in exchange for providing us with their store and preferred distributor information. These free trial introductions accrue seeds (points) at half the rate of standard new accounts and are a great way for new Pure Hempsters to get going!
Harvesting Rewards
A big thank you in the form of free merchandise, as well as an initial allotment of seeds (points) which can be redeemed anytime for other goodies.
With their first successful germination (new account) the pure hempster becomes a full fledge member of the Pure Hemp Family. As such they will receive a big thank you in the form of free merchandise (e.g. choice of a box of papers, a featured CD or ‘hempify’ hemp t-shirt) as well as an initial allotment of seeds (points) which can be redeemed anytime for other goodies. Pure Hemp has partnered with a variety of other like minded companies to offer a fantastic assortment of hemp and music rewards. Every new account opened by a Pure Hempster and/or every repeat order by an account already opened by him/her will automatically accrue additional seeds to the Pure Hempster’s seed bank. Seeds can be redeemed at any time from the online rewards catalogue (coming soon). Additional benefits include tickets to shows and discounted wholesale pricing on all Pure Hemp products and merchandise.
